Hello!

Whether we see each other regularly, only knew each other decades ago as classmates, or are complete strangers, thanks for stopping by my page! If you know me, you know that I love to talk, and this is one way to spare my poor husband and get some of that talk out of my system in an increasingly digital and async world.

A few years ago, I could never have predicted that I would be where I am now: a middle-aged mom of two young kids, living in Taipei with my college sweetheart, with interests revolving around fitness and software engineering, and an unfulfilled desire to squeeze music back into my regular life. I’m still figuring out how to balance all of these things, and this blog is a way to document my journey.

Right now, bodybuilding is taking up most of my focus, but in the past my interests have included dance, music, and software engineering. Among other things: rock climbing (a lot!), pole dancing (I miss it so much!), various races (triathlons, 10ks, half-marathons, Spartan race), road biking, group fitness classes, and dance (hip hop, heels, jazz).

I’m the epitome of a participant trophy athlete. I love joining with friends and will sign up for almost anything fitness related — I like trying new things and feel quite accomplished just finishing a new class or a race. I’m completely average and have never been a competitive athlete, which is what makes things fun for me!

There’s no real agenda to this blog. If I can provide even a little entertainment, information, or encouragement, I will consider this blog a success.
